Thank you to everyone who attended our Family BBQ and AGM last week, even though it rained.
It has been a tremendous year for us with another year of growth and even more incredible opportunities for the young people in our community. Thank you to everyone who plays a part to make this all happen.
99 years ago during the Great War, Scouts from 2nd Southampton were on board the ill -fated hospital ship which sank in the Aegean Sea. Earlier this month the Daily Echo ran a story about the youngest survivor ‘George Perman’ and his experiences of being a young person at war. Enjoy the read and if you’d like to find out more, take a look at our history pages.
It’s certainly been a busy weekend for our group. A very productive morning today combatting the rubbish on the streets of Shirley. Many thanks to Maccy-D’s for the free burgers and ice-cream afterwards. Well done to our adults, Scouts, Cubs and even a couple of Beavers who joined us straight from their sleepover!
Last week we held our AGM and celebrated another year of achievement and growth for our group. Well done to our young people for doing their best and our adult volunteers who make the adventure happen.
In case you missed it, here’s our year in review.
